Middle School After School Arts Classes 

Join local Arts Educators April Felipe and Emily Beveridge in an afternoon of creative learning this winter. During each After School Arts class participants will be led by the instructor through a lesson in Painting & Drawing, or Ceramics. These classes will be low key, and an ideal way to introduce new concepts in the arts to your student. 

*Age range is 7th– 8th grade. 

*Each class session meets once per week 

*Classes will be held 3:00-5:30pm for Middle School Students


Class Descriptions and Schedule:

Wednesdays 3-5:30pm: Middle School Ceramics (Lower Lobby) / Emily Beveridge

Winter Dates: January 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8 (8 weeks) 

Instructor: Emily Beveridge

Description:  In Ceramics class, students will get a chance to experience different techniques to create art with clay.


Thursdays 3-5:30pm: Middle School Deep Dive Drawing  (Lower Lobby) / April Felipe

Winter Dates: January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2, 9 (8 weeks) 

Instructor: April Felipe 

Description: In this experimental class, students will get to push their boundaries and experience new ways of drawing and painting. We will explore many techniques and materials that aren't always utilized in a typical classroom setting. This is a great class for students who love to draw and paint, and want to invest more time into honing their craft with an instructor. 




Winter Evening Arts Classes

Join local Arts Educators April Felipe, Dayton Willison, Carter Rice and Emily Beveridge in an evening of creative learning this winter. These classes will be low key, and an ideal way to engage in art over the winter months!

*Age range is k-3 and 4-6th grade 

*Each class session meets once per week 

*Class fee is equal to $15 per day 

*Classes will be held 5:00-6:00pm for elementary students

Mondays 5-6:00pm: Grades 4-6 Ceramics (Arts & Crafts Room) / April Felipe

Winter Dates: January 23, 30 February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 6, (7 weeks) (No class MLK Day) 

Instructor: April Felipe

Tuesdays 5-6:00pm: Grades k-3 Ceramics (Arts & Crafts Room) / April Felipe

Winter Dates: January 17, 24, 31 February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7 (8 weeks)

Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm: k-3 Puppet Theater (Arts & Crafts Room) / Dayton Willison

Winter Dates: January 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8 (8 weeks)  

Instructor: Dayton Willison

Description: Puppetry is an art medium born from the story-telling traditions of many cultures. In this course we will explore the basic tenets of puppetry, create our own puppet creations, and practice acting out stories with puppets
